Ogden, Utah, August 2007 – Setpoint Systems, Inc., a manufacturing automation firm, announced today that its current management team, including current CEO Brad Angus, has completed a partial buyout of the controlling interest of the company from Joe Cornwell & Joe VanDenBerghe. Cornwell & VanDenBerghe will still be on the board but will no longer be involved in the day-to-day business operations.
This move allows the current management team the time to focus on Setpoint Systems without having to spend it spread out between the other companies within the Setpoint families. Rather than having their time fragmented between the various divisions the management team will focus just on lean automation and packaging automation. “With this renewed direction we will be able to provide focused service to new and existing customers,” said Brad Angus.
Joe Cornwell & Joe VanDenBerghe will be focusing on Setpoint, Inc. (www.setpointinc.com) building amusement rides, providing mud skids to the oil rigging industry as well as some robotic contract welding. This move will allow the “Joe’s” to refocus on amusement rides. They met while working for an amusement ride manufacturer, became good friends and a few years later started Setpoint. “Over the years we focused so much on the automation side that our amusement rides took a backseat. This change will let us focus on the amusement rides again,” said Joe Cornwell.
